Chesterton's proprietary thermoset materials are formulated with high-abrasion, cut-and-extrusion resistance, with low-compression set properties—enabling proper sealing force for the life of the seal. This includes a custom-blended lower durometer material specifically designed to conform to surface irregularities to better control leakage of worn or scored equipment. All of our thermoset materials have built-in molybdenum disulfide that lower the frictional forces and help to extend seal life.
